This is the part of my website where you can keep up to date with my karting season. Every event I go to, I will post up how I did on this page.

Round 1

A decent start to the season. 18 points puts me just 2 points behind Jack Sweeny. Started 5th in the final, got to second by the first corner, challenged for the lead several times, before slipping back to third and lost my fastest lap on the last lap by 7 hundredths of a second after I was currently holding it by 2 hundredths. Still, a trophy's a trophy!

First MiniMax Test

A day to go before Round 2, I am given the chance to drive my first MiniMax! With 125cc, 20 bhp, and a probable speed of 65-70mph, it was quite a beast! I drove it at Forest Edge Karting, where I was in the pre-ARKS section with pre-licenced juniors and seniors. After a huge first lap spin at the end of the 65mph straight (brakes harder and more responsive than Castle Combe!), I got used to the neck snapping speed (literally!) and started to drive the kart instead of it driving me! Then I took the plunge and started my second session at the front. Great idea! After another small spin, I caught some adults that had previously passed me and out-breaked them into the corners! The rest of the day was as casual as ever! A fantastic day at my first taste of real karting! But best of all, I'm doing it all again in a fortnight!
